Our Rights Are Our Fights

The Sudanese Alliance for Rights is a network of human rights advocates, lawyers and humanitarian actors working together to document violations, protect those at risk and press for accountability.

We work with communities, not on their behalf. Our members are based across Sudan and in the countries that have received those who left, and the alliance exists to connect that work: to turn scattered documentation into evidence, isolated advocates into a network, and individual cases into a case for change.

Where we are focused

Where we are focused now

Three things shape our work this year: protecting human rights defenders who remain inside Sudan, sustaining documentation that meets evidentiary standards, and keeping Sudan on the agenda of the bodies that can act on it.

Protection first

Documentation matters only if the people doing it are safe enough to continue. Our protection work — relocation support, digital security, legal accompaniment — is the foundation everything else rests on.

Evidence that holds

We train and support partners to document to a standard that investigators, courts and treaty bodies can rely on, and we store what is collected securely.
